Q&A

So what exactly do you do?
That’s a fair question.

My work usually sits somewhere between operations, technology, project delivery and client management.

I’ve spent over 20 years helping businesses build, launch, manage and improve digital systems. Sometimes that means coordinating projects, sometimes solving technical problems, sometimes improving processes, and often translating between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Are you a developer?
Partly.

I have extensive experience with websites, WordPress, hosting, domains, payments, integrations and online systems.

I’m comfortable working with technical teams and solving many technical problems myself, but I don’t position myself as a specialist software engineer.

Are you a project manager?
Not in the traditional enterprise sense.

I don’t come from a background of large corporate programmes, Agile ceremonies and project management certifications.

My experience comes from actually delivering projects, managing clients, coordinating work and keeping things moving when priorities, requirements and resources change.

Why hire someone with a broad background rather than a specialist?
Specialists are essential.

But many organisations also need people who can connect specialists together.

A lot of problems happen in the gaps between departments, teams, systems and stakeholders. My experience has largely been in helping bridge those gaps.

What are you looking for?
Interesting problems.

That might be a permanent role, a contract position, a consulting engagement or simply a conversation about a challenge your team is trying to solve.

If you’re building something and think I could help, I’d be happy to talk.

What do you enjoy most?
Taking something that feels messy, confusing or stuck and helping create clarity.

Whether that’s a website project, a workflow, a client process or an operational challenge, I enjoy finding practical solutions that help people move forward.
